WE ARE

ATEGAL forma parte dende o comezo da rede internacional StopEdadismo onde queremos concienciar á sociedade e a nosa contorna do que é a discriminación por temas de idade e como a través da educación, a lexislación e as actividades entre xeracións podemos traballar para que loitar contra esta discriminación. Formamos parte do Consello Asesor da primeira estratexia galega en contra do Idadismo e temos en marcha proxectos para visibilizar os microedadismos que temos incorporados no noso día a día e temos que desterrar.  

Aínda que a Asociación leva 45 anos desenvolvendo proxectos para a promoción do envellecemento activo en clave da saúde e do benestar a través dun potente modelo (Aulas Senior) que xira arredor da aprendizaxe permanente ao longo da vida, na actualidade é necesario reformular este modelo.Esta necesidade xorde porque detectamos, no día a día, a que as persoas maiores evolucionan de forma diferente; deben afrontar novos escenarios non esperados, con cambios moi rápidos en pouco tempo e que provocan inseguridades non previstas, para as que debemos buscar novas respostas.O mundo...

In collaboration with the Xunta de Galicia, through the Xacobeo 2021 program, we developed a multimedia product that explains what Santiago was like and the pilgrimages in the 70s and 80s. It is a unique book prepared by the students of ATEGAL Santiago and other collaborations and coordinated and directed by Doña María Victoria Tizón Martín, student, and a volunteer teacher at ATEGAL.

In collaboration with the Vodafone Spain Foundation, the project was developed from December 2017 and ended in March 2018. The recipients were people aged 50 or over from the Galician community interested in being up to date in the use and management of new technologies and want to understand and make the most of the smartphones and digital tablets. Project "Neuron up and cognitive stimulation online" in Ategal Padrón, Ategal Vigo, Ourense, and Ategal Santiago in collaboration with the Obra Social "La Caixa." Cognitive stimulation and personal development workshops are taught, complementary to cognitive stimulation devices through the computer, using the innovative tool NEURON UP as a pioneer in mental stimulation. We managed to integrate ICT into our centers' daily activity and present a useful tool to promote personal autonomy and avoid social isolation.
